What Is The Air Force Like For Women?

I know this is particularly irrelevant, & i would not like to be labeled as only interested in vanity affairs, however I am curious about the routine of a woman in air force service.
I understand basic training must be tough if not physically fit, for men & women.
& I’m sure I should be having conversation with a recruit officer, before I type all these questions online, it’s just I’d like to talk to ordinary people, people not making a living from buttering me up, and jazzing every single sector of service training till it’s been manipulated into something it obviously will not be.
Just a few questions, and please feel free to interject with concerns, or additional, more relevant information. I’m glad to hear it all.
For one, what is it like to do your hair?
Have you found that it is much more convenient to chop it all off, because I am certainly willing to do so. My hair is of moderate to longer length, is full of body, but not overdominatingly wavy.
I sort of just toss my hair into some sort of a neat bun almost every day, however, I am aware in the air force, it must be tight and kept, & almost example of pure perfection. Do you learn to pin you bun up so well?
What about facial waxing, is there ever time after Basic Training to do so?
Do you really take showers with all those women?
& how upon meeting with your recruit officer do you know what career you’d prefer to choose.
I’m nineteen with one year of college under my belt. I am absolutely passionate about education. Embarrassingly enough, perhaps not passionate enough. I fell below the standards of the state grant that I earned, which is a 3.0 , and now I’m stuck in a bind with $14,000 to pay back the government. I really stuck it to myself. I want nothing more than self motivation, but I only think joining the force will align guidelines for me to tap into myself personally & extract the attributes which I happen to be so fond of.
If I had no other alternative but to choose today, my field of choice, it would be psychology ( Scientifically speaking, not clinical work )
Or something medically involved such as physical therapy.
Also wouldn’t mind working day in an out to become an optimotrist, podiatrist, or perhaps a dental assistant.
I might as well be fresh out of high school. I’ve taken many mandatory science classes, & although I cannot say I’m phenominal in the field, it thoroughly interests me. I willing to work harder than I’ve ever given myself credit to achieve possible.
Your comments would mean much to me, thanks.

What State College Should I Go To?

Ok so I’m a junior in high school, my grades aren’t all that, I’m outgoing, I love outdoor activities, along with the downtown night life. I want to go to a school that is fun party wise and has a good education system with a hopefully beautiful campus. I would love to be near the beach and I live in california so i don’t think that would be hard to find. I have many major choices such as, journalism, political science, dietetics, physical therapy, and hospitality manage. and admin.! If you have any suggestions that would be nice!
My number one priority is the major and second is the party scene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually reverse those ^^^^^

At What Point In You’re Life Did You “know” What You Wanted To Do For A Living?

It took me until this year to truly know. I am 22 and I had thought about various careers since around the age of 16. I always knew I did not want to work in a corporation and I have always wanted to do something public, non profit etc. I am a people person and I really did not want to work in cubicle in a corporation with my whole goal being to make the CEO even wealthier than he already is. I looked at Occupatonal and Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology but I always had a strong feeling towards schools. I was an elementary education major my first 3 semesters at Penn State but in January 2007 I changed over to Human Development and Family Studies with the aim of becoming a high school guidance counselor. This year it hit me right in the face that I want to be an Elementary School Counselor. I am interning right now and will earn my B.S. in HDFS in December and if everything goes to plan, I will be earning my M.Ed. in Elementary School Counseling in December 2011. And I absolutely love what I am doing at my internship. After being in 3 of the 9 majors and considering at least 6 of them on my small campus I have hit the mark. Did any of you have this much back and forth over what career line to pick and do you enjoy your choice or regret it?
Thanks,
Dave

What Is A Good College Major For Me If I Want To Pursue A Teaching Career And A Career In Occupational Therapy

I want to know what would be a good major for me in college if I want to teach for a little while, but also get two masters degrees in physical and occupational therapy? I have to take many science and a reasonable amount of math courses as prerequisites for my masters degrees. I know that I will have to decide, and I will have to talk to an admissions counselor but in the meantime, can someone help me?

What Colleges In Ny Can I Transfer To To Complete My Graduate Work For A Doctorate Of Physical Therapy?

Right now I am a high school senior pursuing the career of physical therapy. I have been accepted to Ithaca, Nazareth, and SUNY Brockport. Because of money issues, Brockport seems like my cheapest choice, however, I have to transfer to another school to do my graduate work. I applied to Upstate Medical for early admission and was denied because every spot was already filled. I contacted the school and they said I can still apply within the three years of my study at Brockport, but there is not a 100% chance I will be accepted. Should I just take out the painful student loans and go to a private school, or take a chance of not being accepted to Upstate Medical? Or what other graduate schools can I apply to for my doctorate?
