I am undergoing physical therapy for back pain. I have had 3 PTs at the one clinic. Each one does entirely different and sometimes contradictary things (e.g., ice pack from one, heat pack from another). No touching from one, much manipulation from the other. Why so much variation?

The university i am enrolled in offers two programs.
1. A program that gets you your doctorate in physical therapy
2. A program where you become sort of like a trainer, you can work for a professional team of something…
But i wanted to be a physical therapist that works in a clinic or that would be able to work in a hospital or own practice. Does that mean you NEED to have a PH.D in physical therapy? I’m kind of confused, i was just looking for a masters in physical therapy…

I am looking into either physical therapy or occupational therpy . Do you have to disect a corpse or see one during your education? I can handle blood. can you give me details on what kind of some one must face during college?

Is the physical therapy program just 3 years long? if not how long?
and is the only thing i need to do is get my basics, major in physical therapy then go to physical therapy program???
