I just want to know If i do go for a Bach. for nursing and perhaps try to apply for a grad school for physical therapy would be a good choice like a possible career path? I know I would need to take a couple of extra courses they require to be a PT but I would do it if I had to. I’m not sure but I would just get feedback on this.

I am employed full-time and have a BS Biology with a good GPA from a top college and have clerical, technical writing, and customer service experience. The problem is I have had too many jobs and no clear direction. If I get a 4.0 in the A.S. program, will I even get calls for interviews? I know there is great demand in this field. I thought of writing a career-change resume that would highlight my hospital volunteering experience, my experience dealing with at-risk students, and my scientific writing skills, as well as my health-related background. Do you think this strategy will work? I had a problem with tardiness before, too, but not recently.

I’m an exercise physiology student from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell. I’m very interested in pursuing a career as a doctor in physical therapy in the future. I figured that I would start learning more about the field through a physical therapy aide job.
As a physical therapist, how would you like a student present himself or herself asking for a job? Do you like it when he or she asks straight out if there is a PT aide job, or would you like a full introduction of themselves? Would you recommend a resume? This is my first PT aide job. I did have some medical experience (volunteer job) at a cancer center. Give me as much information about this!!

I am very interested in medicine, but I do not think I could handle the rigorous training and studying to become an MD. Sports has always been a huge part of my life, and I have always been interested in therapy so I just put two and two together and figured out I might actually enjoy this work. I have done some research and found out I may need a lot of pre-requisites to get into exercise science. I live in NYC and I am currently attending a college that doesn’t have my major. I can transfer to two colleges in Brooklyn that offer it, but I know the college I’m attending now has a better learning environment so I was wondering if I could possibly take all the required courses here and then transfer to one of the colleges in Brooklyn and declare my major there. I don’t want to DPT I just want to specialize in sports so I have a higher advantage when it comes time for job placement than someone who just has a general education of PT.
