I m intrested in the career in occupational therapy. but I m a girl and not really strong by having a physical stamina. I have heard that we have to lift up the patient from a wheel chair and make them sit somewhere else by lifting them up. I am scared whether or not i would be able to do this or not.? lifting people up? Also, if you guys know does occupational therapists uses stethoscope or not? I can do this with children lifting them up but scared with older or adult? they might be so heavy…oh god! i don’t know what should I do. Please help me guys…god bless you.

I broke my leg dec 17 last year in a car accident and I have a boot, not a cast, on the leg so i can take it off to wash, sleep, etc. I keep my leg elevated thru the day, drink plenty of milk, rest. I’m looking for a clinic that offers free physical therapy since i’m currently uninsured but I do some exercises everyday. So how much longer do I have to deal with this. I can walk with a walker and crutches but thats it for now.

Do you have your Masters or Ph.D., what type of setting do you work in (ex: hospital, clinic, school), and what is your salary?
I’m debating about Physical Therapy (therapists start at $45,000 and advance to $60,000 within 5 years) or Psychology. I’m not interested in ranges from sites such as PayScale.com. I’d like to hear from actual psychologists/therapists.
