I Am An Art/bio Double Major. Should I Continue With These Degrees Or Switch To Art Education?

I’m going into my junior year in college. Right now, I still am not 100% sure of what I want to do. Right now, I’m pre-physical therapy. I’ve thought about OT, illustration, and graphic design. I’ve always thought working for a zoo or museum creating posters, pamphlets and such would be great! Any insight?
Anyway, I was considering switching to art ed, but I would be in school for at least another semester. My concern is, however, the pay isn’t very good, I haven’t taken a single education class and it’s hard to find a job. I enjoy working with kids. I really like to see their eyes light up when they “get it.” I work with kids all the time at horse camps and I’ve worked at other camps (various sports, art, etc). I can get frustrated with the trouble makers, but I figure that’s normal for any teacher.
What would you do?

The decision is up to you, of course. But from your question it sounds to me as if you’re much more excited about the prospect of teaching. If you find that’s the case… go for it and never ever look back! No degree (not even one in the sciences) is a guarantee to financial security.
    Good luck!
Oh and James R, I’m confused. Are you a former history major, anthropology major, or political science major? You’ve claimed to be each of these (probably others too) in many different questions. Or do you just have something against any major that isn’t in the sciences? I think the latter is probably more accurate.

Wow, stick with biology and its not necessary to say you are pre-physical therapy because thats not even a major.
So do you like being broke and without money??? So you waat to switch to education and english and music??
Major in a language everyone knows???
Listen you need to stick with your plan and get that degree in biology.
english, music, art, dance are worthelss majors. They are like communications majors etc. I mean why drop 20k on an education and graduate with degrees that get you no where?
Even if you have a biology degree you can easily go back and teach. You would also be a hot item there too as most teachers have “art” degrees and cant do anything else.
With a bio degree you can go into pharmacy school, med school, physical therapy, switch to engineering later on if you have too (jsut two more years).
Get rid of the Art degree and double your bio degree with something else useful to the world. Seriously.
Almost every girl majors in psychology or art. Its kind of funny.
Graphic design is hilarious too! My cousin did the graphic design major and is broke right now.
I post on yahoo so I can give people like you advice on what not to do because I have already made these serious mistakes.
